
Bala Visalatha is the senior vice president and chief product officer at Walgreens, overseeing the execution of Walgreens customer product strategy and development.
As chief product officer he is responsible for oversight of the entire customer product lifecycle including ensuring the voice of the customer is heard and all new and existing product lines and functions across Walgreens are aligned to Walgreens customer strategy. Visalatha brings expertise in product management, retail, loyalty programs, digital and omnichannel strategies, as well as more than 18 years of experience to the role.
Most recently, Visalatha served as vice president, omni-transformation and e-commerce product development at Walmart U.S. e-commerce, where he led transformation by re-platforming Walmart’s e-commerce business. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at American Express and General Motors earlier in his career.
Visalatha graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi with his B.S. in mechanical engineering and received his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
