Luke Rauch serves as the senior vice president and chief merchandising officer at Walgreens. In this role, he is responsible for the vision, leadership, strategic direction and performance of all Walgreens merchandising activities, playing a vital role in the company’s growth and actualizing its vision to create more joyful lives through better health.

Most recently, Rauch served as chief of staff to the CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance, where he gained a reputation as a highly strategic leader who consistently delivers results with the customer in mind.

Prior to that, he was group vice president of customer experience and general manager of owned brands for Walgreens. In this role, Rauch led the owned brands strategy in the U.S. and was instrumental in defining Walgreens retail customer experience. Rauch’s previous Walgreens leadership roles include vice president, commercial strategy and senior director, insights.

Prior to Walgreens, Rauch worked in Deloitte Consulting’s strategy practice where his experience included growth strategy, new product and market entry, digital strategy and marketing strategy.

Rauch received his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan along with his MBA from the Ross School of Business and currently resides in Northbrook with his wife and three children.
