Hillary joined Walgreens in 1998 and spent the first 10 years of her career in Learning and Development, ultimately working as the director of the department. She has held leadership roles in multiple groups within Human Resources, including Shared Services, Centers of Expertise, and HR Business Partnering. Hillary also has led several multi-year, wide-scale initiatives, including an HR transformation and a workplace modernization program at Walgreens.
In 2018, Hillary went to London to lead the global HR business partnering team for Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA). She also led the HR team supporting WBA and Pharmaceutical Wholesaling central teams. She was promoted into the Chief Human Resources Officer position at Walgreens in September 2020 and returned to Chicago.
Hillary earned bachelor's degrees from Boston College in English and Secondary Education.
