19 November 2009 Additional Seasonal Flu Vaccine Now Available at Take Care Clinics Nationwide CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., November 19, 2009 - Take Care Health Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walgreens (NYSE, NASDAQ: WAG) and the largest and most comprehensive provider of convenient care clinics and worksite health and wellness centers in the country, today announced that Take Care Clinics, located at 355 Walgreens drugstores nationwide, have received the remainder of their 2009 seasonal flu vaccine order from manufacturers. The limited quantity of vaccine is now available to patients on a first-come first-served basis at all Take Care Clinics. |

(NYSE, NASDAQ: WAG) today announced a definitive agreement in which the company agreed to acquire the assets of 12 Eaton Apothecary pharmacies in the Boston area from D.A.W., Inc., a subsidiary of Nyer Medical Group, Inc. (NASDAQCM: NYER). The transaction is valued at approximately $19 million. |

15 October 2009 Walgreens Announces $2 Billion Share Repurchase Program as Part of New Capital Allocation Policy DEERFIELD, Ill., Oct. 15, 2009 - The board of directors of Walgreen Co. (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) announced it has authorized a new $2 billion share repurchase program. The program, which expires at the end of 2013, replaces the previous $1 billion plan announced in January 2007 which had approximately $655 million remaining. Since 2004, Walgreens has repurchased more than $1.3 billion of common stock. |
