Additional Seasonal Flu Vaccine Now Available at Take Care Clinics Nationwide

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., November 19, 2009 - Take Care Health Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walgreens (NYSE, NASDAQ: WAG) and the largest and most comprehensive provider of convenient care clinics and worksite health and wellness centers in the country, today announced that Take Care Clinics, located at 355 Walgreens drugstores nationwide, have received the remainder of their 2009 seasonal flu vaccine order from manufacturers. The limited quantity of vaccine is now available to patients on a first-come first-served basis at all Take Care Clinics.

DEERFIELD, Ill., Nov. 9, 2009 - Walgreens (NYSE, NASDAQ: WAG) pharmacies, which have used electronic prescribing since 1992, filled a record 4 million prescriptions electronically in October, about 22 percent of all the drugstore chain’s eligible prescriptions and a 185 percent increase compared with October of last year.

(NYSE, NASDAQ: WAG) today announced a definitive agreement in which the company agreed to acquire the assets of 12 Eaton Apothecary pharmacies in the Boston area from D.A.W., Inc., a subsidiary of Nyer Medical Group, Inc. (NASDAQCM: NYER). The transaction is valued at approximately $19 million.

Cash flow from operations for fiscal 2009 increases 35 percent to record $4.1 billion

DEERFIELD, Ill., Sept. 29, 2009 - Walgreens (NYSE:WAG)(NASDAQ:WAG) today announced earnings and sales results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2009.

Net earnings for the quarter ended Aug. 31 were $436 million or 44 cents per diluted share, including the impact of 3 cents in costs and 7 cents in savings associated with the company’s Rewiring for Growth initiative. This reflects a 1.5 percent decrease from $443 million or 45 cents per diluted share, in the same quarter a year ago. Last year’s quarter included the benefit of a vacation accrual adjustment of $79 million, or 5 cents per diluted share.
