Now through Dec. 17, customers can donate new, unwrapped toys at any of the more than 7,700 Walgreens stores across the country. All community donations will be distributed to local families. |

08 November 2011 Walgreens Donates Nearly $400,000 Worth of Personal Care Items to USO in Landstuhl, Germany for Wounded Soldiers, Families DEERFIELD, Ill., Nov. 8, 2011 - Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) is donating nearly $400,000 worth of personal care items to the United Service Organizations (USO) to support operations in Landstuhl, Germany. The organization is focused on lifting the spirits of the nation’s wounded warriors and their families. The donation includes first aid items, toiletries, diapers and baby bottles, as well as coloring books, gum and playing cards. The donation was shipped in late October and should arrive by Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11. |

As part of the review process, IDOL evaluates past records, examines the facility’s written safety and health management plan, conducts a detailed on-site evaluation and evaluates ongoing safety performance. 12 October 2011 First Walgreens Electric Vehicle Charging Station in Orlando Unveiled DEERFIELD, Ill., Oct. 12, 2011 - Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) (NASDAQ: WAG) today will unveil its first electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Orlando at its International Drive and Sand Lake Road location with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Eastern time, as City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer makes the inaugural charge. The drugstore chain is working with Car Charging Group, an owner and provider of EV charging stations, to offer convenient and accessible charging sites at eight locations throughout the area by the end of October. The charging stations will feature two level 2 chargers that are compatible with every EV produced in North America. |
